R.I.P Mr Magic
I remember being a teenager,living in Maryland and driving my car up the turnpike just to get a signal to hear the latest of a Mr Magic “RAP ATTACK ” WBLS Show.
This is a sad day for me ! I went up the New Jersey Turnpike searching for Hip Hop. The DMV area at that time on the radio was Wack ! I think we had Frank Ski or some shit but I remember him always playing catch up on with what was coming out of New York.
Mr Magik and Red Alert had things on lockdown back then.
I literally went up the turnpike with my lil box and some blank tapes. I recorded the show and came back to show off ! WOW !
Time went by too fast on that 1, But the hat goes off and much respect to Mr Magik. R.I.P
